If you’re planning a wedding at Aswarby Rectory and searching for a relaxed wedding video, Fran & Josh’s day is a perfect example of how effortless a heartfelt, family-focused wedding film can be.
Set in the Lincolnshire countryside, Aswarby Rectory is known for its elegant garden, intimate atmosphere, and understated luxury. Fran & Josh embraced all of that, creating a day that felt natural, emotional, and completely centred around the people closest to them.
A defining feature of Aswarby Rectory weddings is the setting itself.
The gardens make this venue so special; open, natural, and incredibly peaceful. For Fran & Josh’s day, their speeches took place outdoors, surrounded by greenery and their closest family and friends.
As an Aswarby Rectory wedding videographer, these are the moments that stand out most, all the in-between interactions & quiet emotion, and the sense that nothing is being rushed.
In the lead-up to the wedding, the weather was one of Josh’s biggest concerns, which is not uncommon for brides and grooms!
Like many couples planning an outdoor ceremony in the UK, the weather had been on his mind for weeks. But on the day itself, the skies cleared and the gardens at Aswarby Rectory were filled with warm, soft light. It was perfect.
There’s a certain kind of energy that comes with good weather at a wedding. Everyone relaxes and mingles more, and then the video benefits. Everything feels just that bit more open and joyful.
For Fran & Josh, it meant their vision for a sunshine-y Aswarby Rectory wedding came to life exactly as they’d hoped.
Rather than moving inside, Fran & Josh kept the speeches outdoors. A choice that worked perfectly with the flow of the day.
Guests gathered with drinks in hand, the speeches were shared and emotions ran high. There was a real sense of togetherness & family. So hopefully these moments are reflected in the wedding film above.
As Josh had dreamt of, early in the evening they got that magical ‘golden hour’ and we stepped away briefly for a few quiet moments. Nothing staged, but a chance for Fran & Josh to take it all in together.
That’s generally my approach as a wedding videographer. The setting doesn’t need to be overexaggerated, but just captured honestly.
If you’re planning your wedding at Aswarby Rectory and are looking for a videographer who focuses on relaxed & natural storytelling, then I’d love to hear about your plans.
Fran & Josh’s wedding was a perfect reminder that the most meaningful days aren’t about overcomplicating things. But about creating space for real moments, real emotion and the people who matter most.
