Set within the Staffordshire countryside, Thorpe Garden, part of the renowned Cripps & Co group, blends industrial character with warm barn textures and incredible food. This wedding day embraced all of that, with a laid-back atmosphere, emotional moments, and a seriously good party to finish.

What made this one extra special for me was that I’d already filmed a close friend’s wedding at Grangefields, another Cripps venue. So when I arrived at Thorpe Garden, there were a few familiar faces waiting.

Familiar Faces & A Different Kind of Comfort

Having previously filmed a wedding within the same friendship group at Grangefields, I wasn’t arriving as a complete stranger. I knew the energy of the group, their sense of humour, and knew that it would be a packed dancefloor come evening time. That familiarity meant guests felt comfortable straight away. No hesitation around me and my camera.
