Blending British and Indian traditions, Rob & Radhika’s wedding video at the iconic Palm House in Sefton Park, Liverpool featured two ceremonies, vibrant dhol drummers, and one of the most electric dance floor atmospheres. All set in the glasshouse surroundings of Sefton Park, this was a visual feast for myself as a wedding videographer.
Rob & Radhika’s approach to the day was simple: keep things relaxed and centred around their guests.
From the very beginning, there was a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The Palm House provided the perfect setting for this. Light-filled, open, and naturally bringing people together in one shared space.
British-Indian fusion weddings often involve multiple moving parts, but here everything felt easy. Guests were able to move between ceremonies, drinks and conversations without any sense of rush.
As a Palm House wedding videographer, that kind of flow makes a huge difference for me, it allows real moments to unfold naturally.
The day began with a civil ceremony, followed later by a traditional Hindu ceremony, both held at the Palm House.
Rather than feeling like two separate events, the structure of the day allowed everything to feel connected. In between, guests spent time outside in Sefton Park, enjoying drinks, catching up, and soaking in the atmosphere.
One of the most thoughtful touches was the inclusion of information booklets explaining the Hindu ceremony. With such a mix of cultures among the guests, this helped everyone feel involved and engaged in what was happening.
It’s small details like this that make a big difference, not just to the experience on the day, but to how it’s remembered.
Before the wedding breakfast, the dhol drummers arrived and led a full entrance with the bridal party. The shift in energy was instant.
The rhythm filled the Palm House and within seconds everyone was gathered dancing, clapping, and completely immersed in the moment.
What started as an entrance quickly turned into a full celebration.
This is something that makes fusion weddings so powerful, those shared moments where everyone, regardless of background, is pulled into the same energy.
As a wedding videographer, these are the moments you can’t manufacture, you just have to be ready for them. But visually, they provide some of the best moments!
Throughout the day, there was a real blend of traditions, music and atmosphere.
From the structure of the ceremonies to the energy of the dancing, Rob & Radhika created a wedding that felt inclusive and dynamic. Guests experienced something new, while still recognising the familiar elements of a UK wedding day.
The mix of music, including more dhol later into the evening, kept that momentum going. The dancefloor never felt like a separate “evening section” of the day, but rather a continuation of everything that had come before.
While both ceremonies and the evening reception took place indoors, the surrounding space of Sefton Park played a big role in the day.
Guests spent plenty of time outside during drinks, giving the whole wedding a sense of openness and balance. It’s one of the advantages of a Palm House Sefton Park wedding; you get the structure of an indoor venue with the freedom of outdoor space just steps away.
Visually, the glasshouse creates a constantly changing environment throughout the day. Light moves across the space, reflections shift, and every part of the day feels slightly different on film.
Rob & Radhika themselves were incredibly relaxed which set the tone for everything that followed.
They weren’t trying to control every moment or over-structure the day. Instead, they created space for things to happen naturally and the atmosphere felt so genuine.
That balance between a calm couple and a high-energy celebration is what made this wedding stand out.
If you’re planning a wedding at Palm House Sefton Park and looking for a wedding videographer who understands how to capture both the flow of the venue and the energy of a fusion wedding, I’d love to hear about your plans.
Rob & Radhika’s wedding was a perfect example of how two cultures can come together to create something unforgettable, not just visually, but emotionally.
